YOYAGE at the 12th Shanghai International Pump & Valve Exhibition

From June 3 to 5, 2024, YOYAGE took part in the 12th Shanghai International Pump & Valve Exhibition at Booth 3H3024. The Shanghai show brought pump, valve and flow-control suppliers together with engineering and procurement teams, giving YOYAGE three days to present its gearbox range and discuss drive solutions directly with the people specifying them.

A Range Built Around Valve Types

Rather than lining up models as isolated samples, the booth was organised around the decisions a valve project actually faces. Visitors could compare gearbox structures, gear forms and drive options side by side:

• Part-turn gearboxes for butterfly, ball and plug valves, and multi-turn gearboxes for gate and globe valves.
• Worm, bevel and spur gear designs, presented so visitors could compare torque multiplication and housing layout.
• Manual, electric and pneumatic operation, covering handwheel-driven, actuator-mounted and declutchable gearboxes.
• Housing and coating choices — ductile iron, WCB, CF8/CF8M stainless and LCB/LCC low-temperature steel — plus ISO 5211 / ISO 5210 mounting interfaces.

Conversations at Booth 3H3024

Booth 3H3024 used a GEARBOX SERIES backdrop and tiered plinths to keep the product families visible together. Most conversations started with the valve rather than the gearbox: valve type and size, operating torque, stem dimensions, and the mounting flange already defined by the valve maker. With those details on the table, the team could narrow down structure, ratio and drive method, then check the delivery schedule against the project timeline.

Shanghai also made the limits of a catalogue clear. Two valves with the same torque figure can still need different output elements, flange patterns or actuator interfaces, and a show is a useful place to resolve those points with drawings, samples and the customer in the same conversation.

After Shanghai

The 2024 exhibition gave YOYAGE a closer view of how valve makers, distributors and project teams in China's pump and valve market were approaching gearbox selection. That feedback continues to inform product configuration and custom design work. The next appearance on the exhibition calendar is VALVE WORLD EXPO 2026 in Düsseldorf, from December 1 to 3, 2026, at Hall 1, Stand E73.
